what a service we had..... well, we weren't able to have church because the city doesn't work their employees on easter, and that means we couldn't get into the community center where we meet. so, we did this for the second year in a row..... we partnered with the city of HB for the 18th annual Huntington Beach Easter Hunt. it was an awesome time to connect with the very ones we exist for. man we helped set up, we help run the little carnival booths were we gave out prizes to children, we wore the bunny suit and hugged all the kids (thanks to Jake, Boz, and Eric for climbing in the suit that was about 120 degrees and are now in pictures on 3000 refrigerators around HB) we broke down the entire place and loaded it on the huge truck..... in the words of the city officials, "you guys are changing the way we view churches in our city, because there's really been a negative view about churches only caring about their own interests...." WOW. maybe thats why Jesus decided to be your everyday carpenter, just to be one of them...... remember, in our current anti-God world, discipleship starts way before salvation. you got to get into the places where people live and be a part of their world. ya know the modern day "highways and byways"......
