all went well

well we had a great month during the "Baggage" series. it was good to see the new people come. God give us the compassion to spend our days being "the church" by determining to grow relationships with those we hardly know, because God brought them our way. and yes we must break through our stinking uncomfortable awkward crap and do it anyway. hey,...not many know how hard that is more than me. remember i was the kid who threw up in the car in third grade because i was so terrified to give that oral report in school. then spent 30 years being ruled by the demonic power of insecurity, inferiority, and intimidation. so follow my lead if somewhere along the way you became an introvert...pray against the enemies power over you, and then GET OUT AND START TALKING TO STRANGERS ANYWAY. its been a humbling deliverance for the last 5 years, but man have i made allot of friends. even led some to Jesus. PS- don't scold them for cussing if they do, come on surely we're bigger and smarter than that. anyway, sorry to go off ranting about my own baggage, but then again, where else could i do it.

don't believe the lie

what do we base our identity on? to many times it's from words thrown at us from people that have been in our life over the years. funny how we struggle to remember the good words poured into our lives, but the negative ones are like neon signs in our brains. most of it....not true. what we must do is stop hitting rewind/play on the harmful words in our past. instead think of the good stuff said about you over the years. here's some stuff to start with by God about you... 1 john 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! ... 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
